We are excited to share with you a new prayer resource that will hopefully be useful in your prayer lives and those of your families this Lent.
Hallow is a Catholic prayer and meditation app that helps users deepen their relationship with God through audio-guided contemplative prayer sessions. The app launched 2 years ago and is already the #1 Catholic app in the world.
We have a number of parishioners who are already using the app and loving it. Great for praying alone or together with your spouse or family, Hallow truly has something for everyone, no matter what you are going through.
The prayers are audio-guided and come in multiple lengths, usually 5, 10, or 15 minutes long. There is a male and female prayer guide option and over 1,000 individual meditations. Specifically for Lent, Hallow has put together a “#Pray40 Challenge” featuring daily Lenten meditations with multiple length options that work for every schedule and experience level.
In honor of Pope Francis declaring 2021 as the “Year of St. Joseph,” the #Pray40 meditations will focus on growing in the virtues of the patron of the Universal Church, including humility, hiddenness, obedience, chastity, justice, and love of the poor. Hallow is free to download and has a substantial amount of permanently free content, as well as a premium subscription, Hallow Plus, that goes toward supporting their team.
To get started, you can scan the QR code on the banner in the entrance to the church, take one of the handouts, or search “Hallow” in the app store.
